Job Description

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

FourSquare/TRE is a full-service injection molding and toolmaking facility serving the medical, aerospace & defense, and commercial industries. We have been operating in the Southern Tier for over 35 years and are ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified.

The Manufacturing Trainee position is designed for motivated high school students who want to learn real technical skills, earn competitive pay, and build a career pathway in advanced manufacturing — right here in the Southern Tier. This is not a summer job. It is the beginning of a structured career track.

Trainees who perform will have the opportunity to increase hours, move into a full-time role upon graduation, and enter FourSquare’s formal technical training pipeline — covering injection molding, process technology, robotics integration, quality systems, and toolroom operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  1. Support production operators on the manufacturing floor under direct supervision
  2. Learn to read and follow Work Orders, Production Instruction Sheets, and quality documentation
  3. Assist with material handling, part inspection, and post-mold operations
  4. Participate in the FSTRE Nexus structured training program — earning certifications as you progress
  5. Observe and assist with injection molding machine operation, mold setups, and quality checks
  6. Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
  7. Follow all safety protocols and company conduct expectations without exception

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

This role is a direct on-ramp to FourSquare's full technical career ladder. Trainees are enrolled in our FSTRE Nexus training platform from day one. Over the course of the program you will gain exposure to:

  1. Injection molding fundamentals — materials, machine operation, and cycle monitoring
  2. Scientific process principles — how variables affect part quality
  3. Quality systems — inspection methods, documentation, and ISO standards
  4. Robotics and automation — how collaborative robots and AI-assisted vision systems are used on a modern production floor
  5. Workplace professionalism — the habits, communication, and ownership mindset that drive advancement

CAREER PATHWAY

Manufacturing Trainee is the entry point into FourSquare's six-track career structure. High performers who transition to full-time will enter one of the following advancement tracks:

Toolroom Technician — CNC/EDM machining, mold build and repair
